My Fashion Articles

For those of you new to my blog or do not follow me on FB or Twitter, I am a fashion writer. I just finished an article for on Body Central and their one shoulder top. I am in love with the florals and patterns this summer, nevermind the fact that they have terrific prices and great quality fabrics. I worked very closely with Katrina Davis at BC to make my article happen. Kudos to everyone there, they are terrific. Great Finds and Deals

I have to say for those of you who follow me on twitter, you know that I tweet daily and try to give you updates on the latest and greatest finds. However, I have been extremely busy with trying to finish my cookbook and of course writing my articles. However, as I promised I am going to try to blog daily on my style tips, finds, and whatever is on my mind. Now, with that being said yesterday I stopped into Walgreens and of course hit the motherload! Loreal's Voluminous mascara at buy one get one half off. That applies to all of Loreals products, I just happen to think that after trying ever mascara known to man that Loreal Voluminous mascara in charcoal cannot be matched by any other brand. So, of course I walked out with 2 in hand as I am a firm believer in not keeping makeup more than a couple of months, and mascara falls in one of the 5 must haves in your makeup bag for that "quick I need to put myself together in a hurry look". I will do a whole segment on that in a video of the essentials of a makeup bag soon. Now, hurry up and get to Walgreens this week I promise once you use this mascara you'll never wear any other. My first article as a fashion writer came out yesterday

As A New Blogger Being Stumped and Not Wanting To Let Your Fellow Bloggers Down

Well, I was just reading a fellow blogger posts just now and she is a newbie just like myself just reaching the month mark yea for her! I myself have just reached a week and am still feeling my way around.  There are days and nights when I feel like I'm crazy taking on too much.  I'm a freelance writer that is required to provide 3 articles minimum a week, I own an online business, I'm finishing my 2 book, starting my daily podcast from my book, and now a daily fashion blog, and tweeting, plus all the other social networking that goes along with marketing all of this?  Check please!  I would like a three week stay on the fourth floor of Bellevue please.  I have been writing my whole life don't get me wrong and love it.  I can't think of anything else I'd rather do, ok does Max Azria need a personal assistant or does Bethenney Frankel need a fashion stylist?  My life is perfect and everything has fallen into place the way I wanted it to, I'm just not sure if it's from a lot of praying and asking every night or crying myself to sleep all I know is be careful of what you wish for.  I if you do good things for people you WILL get it back tenfold.  I am constantly writing, I try and learn a new word a day and use it in a sentence, I keep a notebook near the bed, it's terrible I don't sleep very well at night because my mind never shuts off I'm constantly thinking.  My mind is my own worst enemy.  It has so much that I want to share and I am so glad that I have an outlet and not just one, several to release it to.  Lucky for you guys. Unlike my friend who celebrated her one month with a lovely fantasy fashionable outfit, which by the way I give you a thumbs up TSB great pick. I have a deadline to meet and I apologize that this blog had absolutely nothing to do with fashion, however tomorrow's will.

Not Sure About My Summer Hat This Year......hmm

I"ve been pondering ever since the Royal wedding and the Kentucky Derby about my Summer hat, as I tend to go to the beach and boating quite a bit during the Summer I am a native Floridian and it is a ritual for us.  However, melanoma is not.  So, I am quite fond of the big floppy wide brim hat.  They come in a variety of sizes and with a pair of the "Jackie O's" in my last blog, a cute black bikini from Venus (very reasonable) http://www.venus.com/, a pair of Victoria's Secret Colin Stuart Flip Flops two for $30 www.victoriassecret.com/shoes/2-for-30-flip-flops. my Ipod with the latest from Ms. Gaga, my towel and chair and I'm ready to go!

Jackie O or Erik Estrada?

We all know a couple years back when Paris and Nicole we're BFF's that they were running around Hollywood with the Jackie O 60's big sunglasses.  Now, I look around and although I'm still seeing those sunglasses I'm seeing more of the Erik Estrada look of the 70's, you know the Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses that Usher wears all the time.  Let me emphasize on all the time, which of course we all know he got it from his all time hero the legendary icon Michael Jackson.  However, I find that I'm am partial to both looks myself.  On Ms. Richie, well that's a different story her face is just too small for glasses that big.  The good news is we have a vast variety to choose from.  But I have to ask just one question, why do they wear their sunglasses at night........?

Have you ever realized, I mean ever really sat down and realized how diversified a pair of plain white pearls were?  We all know that we pull them out when we wear our little black dress, but did you realize you can spruce up you're jeans and tee just by putting those on?  Oh, yes my lovely friends try it next time.  You'll see what a difference it makes!
